Nestled in the far edges of Bonshaw Park lies a handful or our hives. These hives back onto a large assortment of Native trees and bushes, giving our girls a wide variety of food sources- all of which are native to New Zealand.
This honey has a toffee like texture with distinctive tropical flavours with a lingering caramel finish. This season’s bush honey is a mixture of rewarewa, kanuka and manuka. You wont be disappointed.
The rich, fruity taste and texture is perfect for your everyday needs and in particular for those who prefer a less sweet honey. It is also great for cooking, baking and even as a sweetener in your oats or tea and coffee.
Our honey is raw meaning we do not heat treat it over 40 degrees (the natural temperature of the hive) or use a fine filter. Handling it this way keeps all of the natural properties intact, keeping our honey in its most natural state as possible, as the bees intended. We don’t believe in changing something that has already been perfected.
